(June 28) Broadway’s Wicked star, Idina Menzel, bonded with the audience at her eccentric concert this past Wednesday evening.

To move beyond her image as lead character, Elphaba, in the Broadway musical Wicked, Menzel moved to appeal to the crowd on a more individual level. Throughout the performance Menzel took questions from the audience and relayed personal anecdotes about her younger sister.  She even sang a song in Hebrew, an homage to her early career as a wedding singer.

Menzel’s summer tour will promote her third solo album, “I Stand,” which was released this past January.  “I Stand” reached number 58 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
