Dodgers Top Baseball Ticket Sales Again
(June 25) Today the Los Angeles Dodgers announced ticket sales figures for the 2008 season marking their 13th consecutive season for surpassing the three-million mark and reaching a Major League record 23rd time overall.
Last year’s 2007 Dodger season recorded a total 3,857,036 fans. This was the highest figure in the National League and second-best mark in the Major Leagues.
For the 2008 season, the Dodgers were able to maintain large numbers to fill the stadium. Home games brought a recorded 1,667,629 fans. This figure does not include the team’s exhibition contest from March 29th, which attracted 115,300 fans, breaking the Guinness World Record.
The Dodgers have played for more fans, totaling over 177 million, than any other franchise in sport’s history.
